Does teeth cleaning have to hurt? A patient’s test.

Hi, my name is Paweł and I have been a patient at Z Wieży Dentysta clinic for many years.
From time to time (not very regularly), I went for traditional teeth cleaning because, well, it’s necessary.
I really hate that stuff. The procedure isn’t exactly pleasant and sometimes it even hurts, but afterward, my teeth look as they should — cleaned from tartar, which creates little “gaps” between my teeth that my tongue doesn’t really like. Oh well.
But it does show how much gunk can build up between teeth in a short time.

A decision that changed everything.

I decided to try out the new device the clinic recently got — something called Airflow. I’d heard it’s supposedly painless and even pleasant. I wanted to see for myself.

I booked a cleaning appointment with Ms. Bożena. I was a bit nervous, but still hoping for that “WOW” effect. I sat down in the chair, she put a bib on me and got to work. She put a couple of gadgets in my mouth, and suddenly I felt a pleasant “tickling” sensation from the sand and warm water. I was just waiting for the first “Ouch!”

Only that “Ouch!” never came…

The procedure.

The whole treatment lasted about 30–40 minutes and was genuinely pleasant. Not once did I feel any pain from breaking up the tartar — the fine powder practically dissolved instantly in my mouth. What’s more, the stream of warm water gently rinsed my mouth, which is definitely a blessing for anyone sensitive to cold. You could literally fall asleep in the dental chair during the cleaning.

And the result? Exactly the same as with the traditional, painful cleaning methods that I so deeply hated 😉 After the procedure, Ms. Bożena had a short chat with me. She thoroughly explained what I can eat to maintain the cleaning results for as long as possible, what to avoid, how to floss properly, where to buy the right floss, and so on. Overall, she took care of me from A to Z.

Is it worth it?

I can wholeheartedly recommend the dental cleaning at Z Wieży Dentysta clinic because I know experienced professionals work there whose mission is treatment, care, and educating patients about oral health. As for me, I’ve already decided to visit regularly for cleanings because the procedure really DOES NOT HURT.
